March Prayer Calendar

1- Father God, we know we are only made righteous through Christ and because of this your eyes are upon us and your ears hear us when we pray. Give us a hunger and desire to meet with you each day. May we long for you as we long for water and food.

1 Peter 3:12 For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.

Mark 1:35 Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.

Psalm 63:1 O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you, my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water.

2- Holy Spirit, convict us of our sin, bring things to mind that we have done. May we be quick to repent and turn to You Lord and make things right. Thank you for your forgiveness and cleansing power.

John 16:8 When he comes, he will convict the world of guilt, in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment…

Psalm 130:3-4 If you, O LORD, kept a record of sins, O Lord, who could stand? But with you there is forgiveness; therefore, you are feared.

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

3- Give us a soft and teachable heart that can be molded by you, LORD, put your Spirit in us and move us to keep your laws. May we love well as You live in us that others may know we have your Spirit.

Ezekiel 36:26-27 I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.

1 John 3:23-24 And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us. Those who obey his commands live in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us.

4- Protect us, Father, from the enemy. May we be alert to his schemes, and resist him.

James 4:7 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

1 Peter 5:8-9 Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings.

Eph 6:10-11 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take our stand against the devil’s schemes.

5- Help us, Lord, to rest in You, trusting in You alone and not being shaken by our circumstances.

Psalm 91:1-2 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.

Isaiah 26:3 You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you.

Psalm 112:7 He will have no fear of bad news; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the LORD.

6- We long for your presence and glory in our lives, to know your grace and truth. Dwell among and within us. May we be rooted in love and filled with the fullness of God, your power at work that you may be glorified in our church and community.

John 1:14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory f the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Eph 3:17-21 …so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love…and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen.

7- Lord, we pray for our pastor and his family.

Eph 4:1-2 As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.

Acts 20:28 Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God which he bought with his own blood.

Eph 6:19-20 Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.

8- Lord, restore families. Frustrate our wicked ways and turn our hearts to one another. Set us free from our own prisons and open our eyes to the things we aren’t seeing. Give us empathy and understanding of one another and lift us up when we humble ourselves.

Malachi 4:6 He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers…

John 4:16, 29-30 He told her, “Go, call your husband and come back.” “Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Could this be the Christ?” They came out of the town and made their way toward him.

Psalm 146:7-9 …The LORD sets prisoners free, the LORD gives sight to the blind, the LORD lifts up those who are bowed down, the LORD loves the righteous. The LORD watches over the alien and sustains the fatherless and the widow, but he frustrates the ways of the wicked.

9- Grow our church, Lord. Build us up spiritually and numerically, enlarge our territory and sphere of influence through our obedience to You. Mature us in our faith, give us a hunger for You.

1 Chron 4:9-10 Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.” And God granted his request.

Acts 2:42-47 They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common…praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

1 Peter2:2 Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good.

10- We pray for those who are abused, physically, emotionally, sexually, or spiritually. Deliver them, bring healing and wholeness in every way. Break the chains and generational patterns of the abuser and set them free as well.

Heb 12:12-13 Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees. “Make level paths for your feet,” so that the lame may not be disabled, but rather healed.

Isaiah 61:1-3 The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners…

11- LORD, give us a passion for worship. Let us offer a sacrifice of praise to You and share of your wonders to one another. Give us courage to speak when you are leading us that we may honor you.

Psalm 9:1-2 I will praise you, O LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonders. I will be glad and rejoice in you; I will sing praise to your name, O Most High.

Hebrews 13:15 Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise-the fruit of lips that confess his name.

1 Chron 16:29 Ascribe to the LORD the glory due His name. Bring an offering and come before him; worship the LORD in the splendor of his holiness.

12- Father, may we seek Your kingdom, Your purposes above our own plans or agendas. Guide us today as you did Philip when he spoke to the Ethiopian (Acts 8:26-40), and may we obey You as You show us what you are doing.

Prov 16:9 In his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps.

Matt 6:33 But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

John 5:19 …I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.

13- Move in the hearts of our children. May they know your love them and long for them to come to You. Call them by name again and again until they are ready to listen to You and receive Christ as their Lord. Speak to them of your will and what is to come. Be with them as they grow.

Matt 19:14 Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

1 Sam 3:10-11,19 The LORD came and stood there, calling as at the other times, “Samuel! Samuel!” Then Samuel said, “Speak, for your servant is listening.” And the LORD said to Samuel: “See, I am about to do something…” The LORD was with Samuel as he grew up…

14- Creator God, we pray that you will be lifted up among all the nations. That you would call people to worship You in spirit and truth. Send laborers, Father. Protect those persecuted, provide for their families, make a way for them to gather for encouragement, teaching and worship. Start new churches across Central Asia and in the Middle East. Equip the Wilson Family with language, give the Pierce Family favor among the people where they are that they’d have more opportunities to share.

John 4:23 …true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.

Luke 10:2 He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few, Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”

Philippians 4:19 And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus

15- LORD, equip our staff, deacons and teachers to do your will, hearing your voice clearly. Sanctify them and remind them that you are faithful and will speak through them for it is Your work and purpose.

John 10:3 …He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.

1Thess 4:23-24 May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it.

Philip 2:13 For it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose.

16- Father, may we lift you up in our community (among our family, friends, neighbors, workplaces, and schools) because you love them and gave your Son for them. You are patient with us and long for all to come to repentance. You draw all men to Yourself as we lift you up.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

2 Tim 2:3-4 This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.

17- Give us a hunger for Your Word, Lord, that we’d study it and memorize it. For your Word penetrates us and changes us, equipping us. Show yourself to us as we keep your commands and love you.

Heb 4:12 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

John 14:21 Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.

2 Tim 3:16-17 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

18- May we get out of our comfort zone, Lord, not conforming to the world or our usual thought patterns or daily habits. May we offer our all to You and not just our time at church or Bible study. May we really live out and believe in our heart what we are saying with our mouths.

Romans 12:1-2 Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God- this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is- his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Isaiah 29:13 The Lord says: “These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me…”

19- Father, we intercede on behalf of non-profits and social service agencies that serve people in our community (Center for Women, Salvation Army, Sharing House, Family Place, SAFE, Children’s Center, Health Dept/Social Services/DSS, Meridian and other Counseling Centers, Hospital, Fire Dept, Police Dept). We ask that believers in those places would minister and exalt you as lights wherever they are. May your love be given and shown, and any scripture shared with others not return void.

Matt 5:14-16 You are the light of the world…neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.

Isaiah 55:11 …so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

20- Help us to love one another well, unify us as you are one so they world will know we are your disciples.

John 17:20-23 My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one- I in them and you in me-so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.

Psalm 133:1 How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!

John 13:34-35 A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.

21- Strengthen our connect groups. May we encourage and sharpen one another, seeing the importance of being together. Lord, help us to walk in the light as You are in the light.

Hebrews 10:24-25 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

Prov 27:17 As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.

1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.

22- Lord, we lift up our governments to You. Brevard, Rosman, Transylvania County, our state government and the federal government. Show us how to pray for people in authority, these you have established for this time. May we be faithful to intercede for them and you move their hearts as water in your hand.

1 Tim 2:1-2 I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people-for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.

Rom 13:1 Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.

Prov 21:1 In the LORD’s hand the king’s heart is a stream of water that he channels toward all who please him.

23- Give us wisdom, O Sovereign God, to be good stewards of all you have given us. Our finances, our building, our resources, our gifts/talents. We call out to You, we want our lives to be built by You.

James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.

Psalm 127:1 Unless the LORD builds the house, its builders labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in vain.

Jer 33:3 Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.

24- Today, we intercede for those who serve in our local schools. The administration, staff, teachers, coaches, counselors, everyone. They need your wisdom, Lord, to do what you’d have them. Give them your eyes and discernment to see how to love and care for students who are hurting, acting out, lonely, or afraid. Give them your words and favor so they would be heard.

James 3:13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show it by his good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom.

Matt 10:19-20 …do not worry about what to say or how to say it. At that time, you will be given what to say, for it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.

25- Dear Lord, produce the fruits of the Spirit in our lives through Your Holy Spirit. May we abide in You and Your words abide in us that we’d bear much fruit. We need you Father, make us more like you. We want to walk in the spirit and not in our flesh.

Galatians 6: 8-10 Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.

Galatians 5:22-26 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.

John 15:5 I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.

26- We want to experience revival, Almighty God. Revival in our own hearts, in our families, our church and community. Move in our county, draw near to us as we draw near to You. We want to rejoice in you; revive us again as your scripture says, grant salvation to the people in our area. Just as the Spirit hovered and began to bring life to a place that was dark and empty, do it again…brood over us, breathe in us, bring LIFE.

James 4:8-10 Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.

Psalm 85:6-7 Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you? Show us your unfailing love, O Lord, and grant us your salvation.

Genesis 1: 2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.

27- Lord, we lift up those who are sick among us, those fighting disease and cancer. Encourage their hearts, lift their heads and bring comfort and peace as only You can. Show us how they need us to reach out to them.

Psalm 34:18 The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

2Cor 1:3-4 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.

28- Thank you, Father. We overflow with thanksgiving. There is no one like you, All Powerful, Creator God, who stoops to relate to us, who rides across the heavens to help us, who saved us by giving us your only Son.

Rom 5:8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Deut 33:26 There is no one like the God of Jeshurun, who rides across the heavens to help you and on the clouds in his majesty.

Colossians 4:2 Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.

29- Father, we pray for the men of our church. May they be the spiritual leaders you’ve made them to be for their families, remembering that You are fighting for them and they need only to be still, trusting in You. May they be like Hezekiah who removed the high places, laying aside things in their lives that have exalted themselves above You. Help them to take every thought captive making it obedient to Christ. May they also hold fast to You, Lord, and you give them success.

Exodus 14:14 The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.

2 Kings 18:5-7 Hezekiah trusted in the Lord…He held fast to the LORD and did not cease to follow him; he kept the commands the LORD had given Moses And the LORD was with him; he was successful in whatever he undertook.

2 Cor 10:5 …we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

30- Now, we pray for the women of our church. Holy Spirit, remind them of what Jesus said, of Your truths, when the enemy is speaking lies in their heads. Give them your peace and cast out fear. Give them strength and perseverance to do your will without complaining so they shine as stars. May they fear You alone and be praised and rewarded.

John 14:26-27 But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

Philippians 2:14 Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe, as you hold out the word of life…

Prov 31:30-31 Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised. Give her the reward she has earned, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.

31- May we be a forgiving people, not holding grudges or becoming bitter. Remind us of the importance of forgiveness and of your forgiveness to us. May we not become bitter or angry at You Lord because of circumstances or things that happen to us but let them go in prayer and thanksgiving knowing you are maturing us through it, and we are participating in your sufferings.

Matt 6:14-15 For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

1Thess 5:16-18 Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

James 1:2-4 Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

1 Peter 4:12-13 Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed.
